Braun was born and raised in Upper Makefield and has lived in the Township for nearly 30 years. He is a graduate of Council Rock, the University of Pittsburgh, and Temple University Beasley School of Law. Professionally, Braun is an attorney with a practice focused in municipal law, finance, and real estate matters. He is also a licensed Realtor. Prior to being elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2023, Braun served on the Park and Recreation Board.

Braun resides in Washington Crossing with his partner, Eddie, and his dog, Tula, and is right down the road from his parents and his childhood home.
