Our Finance Officer manages a roughly $14 million annual budget, once it has been approved by the Board of Supervisors. In turn, the Finance Department issues monthly Budget vs. Actual reports, which are posted when Board of Supervisors meeting minutes are posted. The Finance Department manages payments and cash flow throughout the year. Monthly Reports are posted online.

Independent and Elected Auditors

The Township contracts with independent auditors Bee, Bergvall & Co. to provide oversight to Township financial activities. They review Township records annually and issue Audited Financial Statements, which are posted on the Township website. Residents also elect three auditors who serve six year terms.  In accordance with the Second Class Township Code, they meet in January of each year on the day following the reorganization of the Board of Supervisors.  Visit the Auditors page to learn more and read meeting minutes.

Notice of Change to RBC Contract:
Pursuant to Act 44 of 2009, notice is hereby given that it is the intent of Upper Makefield Township to enlarge the scope of RBC Wealth Management, LLC. to include additional service to our employee retirement plans.  In an effort to provide additional options to our employees, the Township will add RBC Wealth Management, LLC. to the list of firms available for administration of employee 457 pension plans.  RBC’s performance with our defined benefit plans has made RBC an attractive option for administration of self-directed 457 plans.
