In addition to his current supervisor position, Tom has been very active within the Upper Makefield community and has served on many township committees. He was a member of the Park and Recreation Board from 2001-2009 and served as chair in 2008 and 2009. He was also a member of the Environmental Advisory Council from 2001-2009 and was chair in 2008.  First elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2010, Tom served as chair in 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

He has been a member of the Lions Club since 1996, the Heritage Hills Homeowners Board of Directors and various committees since 2001, and the Upper Makefield Business Association since 2007.

Tom moved to the township in 1976 and today lives in Heritage Hills with his wife, Angie.
