Dehumidifier Recall

August 23rd, 2021

More than 2 million defective dehumidifiers sold under 20 different brands at Lowe’s Costco, Walmart and Menards  are being recalled because they can overheat and cause a fire hazard. A list of recalled makes and models can be found on the Consumer Protection Safety Commission website. If you bought one of these dehumidifiers between February 2009 and August 2017, stop using it and contact the manufacturer, New Widetec, via their website or by phone Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST at (877) 251-1512.

If you have fire safety questions, contact Fire Marshal John Kernan at
