Update June 25, 2020

On June 26, Bucks County moves into the Green Phase of the Governor’s plan to reopen the state. All Township staff is working regular hours and is available to assist by email or telephone. There is a procedure in place for a contactless transfer documents. – call 215-968-3340 for assistance. The public is allowed in the Municipal Building lobby-masks are required and there is a limit of 3 people permitted in the lobby at one time.

Update June 4, 2020

As Bucks County moves to the yellow phase on June 5th, the Township will follow the plan below for re-opening Brownsburg Park and Lookout Park . All Township staff will be working regular hours at the Township Building, however the building will remain closed to the public. Staff is available by phone and email, and a contactless system to exchange paperwork is available. Call the Township at 215-968-3340 for assistance.

Per Governor Wolf’s extension of the Stay-at-Home Order, Township facilities remain closed to the public. Township operations are continuing to function with modified schedules and remote access to address resident concerns and maintain work flow. Update April 8
All of us at the Township wish you and your families a happy, healthy Passover and Easter. Please remember during these challenging times the importance of maintaining social distancing, even when walking outside. We all need to continue to this practice to help prevent the spread.

Though all volunteer committee meetings have been cancelled during the month of April, the Board of Supervisors will hold a meeting on April 21 to address items of immediate concern. Plans are in progress. Please check back for details as the meeting date approaches.

The Board of Supervisors meeting of April 7 is cancelled. Please monitor this website for information regarding the meeting scheduled for April 21.

Volunteer board and committee meetings are cancelled through April 30th.

Police and Emergency Management are operating.

Township playgrounds, tennis courts, bathrooms and pavilions are closed until further notice. The parks and walking paths remain open at this time. Please practice appropriate social distancing recommendations

Update March 30
During these trying times, we need to support each other more than ever. Over the past couple of weeks, Township Staff and Supervisors have been reaching out to residents, particularly those who may be in the high-risk group. We know many of you have been doing so as well. With the extensions of President Trump’s and Governor Wolf’s orders, further help may be needed in the days to come.

We recommend a phone call to check in with friends and neighbors. If help is needed beyond a caring call, please feel free to reach out to the Township at the following email: manager@uppermakefield.org. We are here and will make every effort to help. Please note that some of our local businesses are offering delivery and/or curbside services, if you are not aware.

Everyone is contributing in some way, and it is very much recognized and appreciated. Upper Makefield has a rich history of rising to the occasion. This time has been no different. We have seen many examples of this throughout our community.

Upper Makefield Residents,

We want to assure you that we have your health, safety and welfare as our highest priority, now and always.

Per Governor Wolf’s Order, our Township Facilities are closed to the public until April 6, 2020. Township operations are continuing to function. Please contact the appropriate department heads if needed. We are in regular contact with State and County officials and will continue to manage Township business and adapt moving forward. Volunteer board and committee meetings are also cancelled through April 6th.

In adherence to the State’s “Stay at Home” directive for Bucks County, Township park facilities, playgrounds, tennis courts, bathrooms and pavilions are closed through April 6th.

Update March 17

Township offices will be closed on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 due to a virus-related cleaning. Please monitor this website for updates. Thank you.

** See March 19th update above: As an accommodation to our residents in light of the Council Rock School District closing, both Lookout Park and Brownsburg Park will remain open. The Township will take measures to regularly sanitize the playground equipment. We strongly recommend adherence to the State mandate of social distancing as much as possible.

In adherence to the State mandate of social distancing and as a result of an afternoon conference call with the Bucks County Emergency Management Director, Upper Makefield Township is taking precautions to protect the health and safety of our community and staff.

Effective March 16, 2020, Township offices will be closed to the public until March 30 . Township staff will be available during business hours to assist via phone and email. Update March 16
Effective immediately, all committee meetings are suspended until March 30, 2020. The March 17 Board of Supervisors meeting will be held as scheduled with a limited agenda. The Pennsylvania Open Records Act requires that the Board allow public comment at every public meeting. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, and in an effort to protect the health of our residents, staff, and Board members, we strongly encourage you to submit your public comment by electronic mail to Manager@uppermakefield.org by 4:30 on March 17, 2020. The Board will read your public comment and, if appropriate, address your concerns at the meeting. You can view the reading of your public comment live during the televised meeting on Comcast Channel 22 and Verizon Channel 21 or view the meeting on our website at www.uppermakefield.org within two days of the meeting. For your health, and in an effort to comply with the Governor’s request that we limit public gatherings, we discourage you from attending the meeting in person, and hope that you will submit your comments via electronic mail.
