MS4 Pollutant Reduction Plan Public Comment Period

UPPER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP MS4 POLLUTANT REDUCTION PLAN:  The Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors will accept comments from the public beginning on August 19, 2024 and extending through September 18, 2024 regarding the Township’s Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP), which is required by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as a component of the Township’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s).  The Plan outlines in general terms the Township’s 5-year plan between 2024 and 2029 to reduce sediment and nutrient loadings from the MS4 stormwater discharges to Jericho Creek. The PRP will be available for public review Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the municipal offices of Upper Makefield Township, located at 1076 Eagle Road, Newtown, PA 18940. The Plan is also available for public review on the Township’s website www.uppermakefield.org. Comments may be provided in writing and delivered in person or via e-mail or regular mail and addressed to David Nyman, Township Manager, Upper Makefield Township.  The Township will accept comments from any interested member of the public at the regularly-scheduled meeting of the Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors on September 17, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.
