VOLUNTARY EVACUATION

September 2nd, 2021

***Attention residents along River Road***
This is a message from the Upper Makefield Emergency Management. The National Weather Service is predicting MODERATE flooding of the Delaware River Thursday evening into Friday afternoon. At around 6am, the river is currently projected to crest to 18.4 feet at the Washington Crossing Bridge and 22.2 feet at Trenton. With this projected height, it will cause closures along River Road between Mt. Eyre Road and Taylorsville Road between 9pm Thursday night and 3pm Friday afternoon. Depending on the rate of rise and actual water height, access and egress will be impeded. Therefore, we are recommending voluntary evacuations prior to the anticipated flood stage. Do not drive through high water and take protective actions as necessary. Please make sure your neighbors receive this message.
